• Is my contract private when I upload it?

  Yes. Documents are processed in memory and the contract text is never written to disk. We do not sell, share, or retain the text of your contract after the analysis returns. The free Health Check is anonymous — no account, no email, no credit card.
• What counts as a "red flag" in the contract Health Check?

  The Health Check looks for the clauses small businesses most often miss or negotiators most often want to renegotiate: uncapped indemnification, broad non-competes, one-sided limitation of liability, automatic renewal without notice, unlimited IP assignment, vague termination rights, and missing confidentiality. Each red flag is shown in plain English with the exact contract sentence that triggered it.
• How accurate is the AI contract analysis?

  The Health Check combines deterministic clause-detection across 14 clause categories (confidentiality, IP, termination, payment, governing law, etc.) with a plain-English AI summary. Every red flag links to the specific contract language that triggered it. The Health Check is designed to catch the 80% of issues small businesses hit — for deep clause-by-clause risk scoring with state-specific warnings, upgrade to the full Contract Review ($79).
• Can I share my Health Check result?

  Yes. After a Health Check, you can create an anonymous share link containing only the health score and red-flag count. Uploaded contract text, parties, filenames, clause snippets, and the AI summary are not included, so you can share the result with a co-founder, attorney, or counterparty without exposing the contract.
• How long do you keep my contract?

  We do not retain the contract text. It is processed in memory, used to generate the Health Check result, then discarded. If you choose to use a share link, we store only the score and red-flag count needed to serve that link; no uploaded text, snippets, parties, filenames, or AI summary are stored. • What file types does the Contract Health Check support?

  PDF, Microsoft Word (DOCX), and plain text (.txt) up to 10 MB. You can also paste raw contract text directly into the text box — for example, text copied from a Google Doc, an email, or a vendor portal. Scanned (image-only) PDFs are not supported because the text cannot be extracted; export the file to a text-based PDF first.
• Do I need an account or payment to use the Health Check?

  No. The Health Check is free, anonymous, and requires no sign-up. Upload a contract or paste text and get a plain-English health score + top red flags in under 30 seconds. For deeper analysis, the full AI Contract Review ($79) and the Plain-English Summary ($29) are optional upgrades — never required.
